My Garden Grove High School ASB cabinet: we all came with different stories and different perspectives, but we shared one common goal. I’ll have to say that these last six weeks of my life were the hardest six weeks I have ever faced. Endless hours of repeatedly drilling choreography in the scorching sun, hours of spinning backdrops and learning when to raise props, days & nights full of complaints and breathlessness for five minutes of the spotlight. In the beginning, without a doubt, I thought we were going to crash and burn. Never would I have ever anticipated such success under the circumstances we were given. We have risen and we have fallen. Ultimately, I believe we have soared past our expectations and I am so proud to say that today. Our entire cabinet has been through hell and back this summer. We have faced everything there was to face and I can still happily say we are one cohesive unit of kids who proved everybody wrong, including myself. This skit was the very first thing I have ever put my whole heart and soul into and I am so glad we pulled something this beautiful off.

I have to admit that not getting to perform at camp was a bummer. As a matter of fact, it was the biggest bummer in the history of all bummers.. But with my cabinet’s perseverance, we stuck it through. We pulled through the tears, the frustration, the anger, the fatigue, the arguments, the attitude and we pulled through summer. We Argonauts will fight until the very end, with or without any support.

I’ve only been in ASB for about a month, & these people have grown on me, already ! I love them so much: working with them, socializing, taking pictures, eating LOL, everything ! They’ve made me feel so welcome, like they’re a whole other family. These people are absolutely amazing, and I’m so glad I was one of the few lucky freshmen to make it into ASB. ♥
